AgForce QLD Unveils Emerging Leaders in Agriculture Bursary to Cultivate Future Industry Leaders

In a significant move to nurture and support the next generation of agricultural leaders, AgForce QLD, in partnership with the Central & Northern Graziers Trust and Isolated Children’s Parent’s Association (ICPA QLD), has introduced the AgForce Emerging Leaders in Agriculture Bursary. This initiative, aimed at second-year tertiary students studying agriculture-related degrees, offers a substantial financial boost along with invaluable opportunities for professional growth.

The bursary program provides two awards, each worth $5,000. It is designed to recognize and support students who demonstrate a strong commitment to pursuing a career in agriculture, showcase leadership potential, and maintain an impressive academic record. By alleviating some of the financial burdens associated with tertiary education, the bursary aims to allow students to focus more on their studies and less on financial stress.

The benefits of the AgForce Emerging Leaders in Agriculture Bursary extend far beyond the prize. Recipients will have the chance to engage with industry leaders and peers at various events, including the state conference in October. These events offer an invaluable platform for networking, learning, and sharing ideas with some of the most influential figures in the agricultural sector.

Additionally, the bursary recipients will be invited to join quarterly AgForce Young Producers Council Meetings. This involvement will not only allow them to contribute to discussions shaping the future of agriculture but also provide a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills in a real-world context.

Funded by the Central & Northern Graziers Trust and AgForce SIQ, this bursary is a testament to their commitment to fostering excellence and leadership in the agricultural community. By investing in the education and development of young talent, they are ensuring the continued growth and innovation within the industry.

Applications for the AgForce QLD Emerging Leaders in Agriculture Bursary are now open. Interested students are encouraged to apply and take advantage of this opportunity to advance their careers in agriculture while contributing to the sector’s future.
