The Department of Resources want to hear from you about your recent interaction with them about Queensland tree clearing laws.

Farron Research, on behalf of the Department of Resources, is inviting members of the community to participate in a one-hour interview to better understand your perspectives when interacting with the department about tree clearing laws. The insights will be used to inform the relevant design of services provided by the department about the tree clearing laws.

They would like to speak to people who have interacted with them about tree clearing laws in the past 12 months.

What the Department of Resources would like from you
They have partnered with Symplicit Research an independent research company, to conduct individual one-on-one conversations with you. Farron Research will be coordinating the engagement of people to be involved in these conversations. Once the research is complete Symplicit will provide the department with information that won’t identify you. Don’t worry – they won’t know who they are speaking with, anything shared will not include personal information.

The conversations will happen between Tuesday 7th and Tuesday 14th May – so if you are available to help them improve their service, please click here to opt-in. You’ll be asked to provide contact details and to consent to those details being passed on to Symplicit so they can schedule a time to chat with you.

For your convenience, the conversations can happen on Microsoft Teams, Zoom or through a phone call, and will take no more than one hour. To thank you for your valuable time, Farron will provide you with a $200 EFT.

Please note:

  • Participation is optional.
  • If you consent to participate, you can withdraw at any time, during or after the session. You decide how much to share. You can ask why you’re being asked a question.
  • You can choose not to answer questions, take breaks or stop if that feels right to you.
  • You can access your information at any time during the project.
  • We value equity and diversity so let us know if there is assistance that we can provide that would support your participation.

If you would like to participate, please click here to opt-in. The form will be open from 24 April and close COB 8 May 2024. If selected to participate, you will be contacted by Farron Research by 10 May 2024.

If you have any questions, you can contact Jackie Anderson, Manager, Customer Experience from the Department of Resources at jackie.anderson@resources.qld.gov.au.
