AgForce is encouraging producers to provide feedback on the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries’ draft Queensland AgTech Roadmap 2023-2028.
The roadmap will lead and shape the State’s strategic direction for AgTech development and accelerate its uptake to enhance Queensland’s reputation as a global leader in agriculture.
Following State-wide engagement with agricultural partners, five key focus areas have emerged to enhance AgTech adoption, promote further investment and confidence in AgTech and enable further growth of the world class ecosystem:
- Strengthen the ecosystem – increase collaboration to foster a unified AgTech ecosystem across Queensland.
- Attract and build local capability – enhance the use of innovation infrastructure that support targeted research and development, and demonstrate the benefits of AgTech products and services
- Innovation infrastructure – increase AgTech capability and digital literacy within the Queensland agriculture sector and create a talent pipeline
- Globally connected – position Queensland as a global leader in the development, commercialisation, and adoption of AgTech through strengthened trade and investment connections
- Coordinating efforts – drive action in the Queensland AgTech ecosystem through a coordinated approach to policy and programs.
We invite you to provide feedback on the roadmap by participating in the survey or submitting a written submission at daf.qld.gov.au/agtech-roadmap by 6 April 2023.
