From today, everyone crossing the Queensland/New South Wales border needs to complete the new online Queensland border declaration pass.

The agricultural class exemption AgForce worked on with Government still applies, but now, instead of showing a printed copy of the letter to police at the border, you will need to apply online for a class exemption pass.

You must apply online for the pass at least three days prior to travel. This means that any workers you are employing must submit their applications for a pass three days in advance of crossing the border.

Once you have your pass, you can show this to border officers instead of the printed letter.

More information is available on the Queensland Government’s Border Restrictions website or you can contact AgForce’s Elisa Westmore westmoree@agforceqld.org.au, or phone (07) 3236 3100.
