Regional President:
Geoffrey Swanson
Along with my wife, Kate, we run a property, Connemara, east of Augathella. We have been here for 16 years now, having moved from the Yaraka district, and in the last two years have shifted our operation from running all trade cattle to breeding Wagyu.
I have been involved in AgForce since its inception and have always fully believed in the value that it provides to the agriculture sector through its advocacy work.
Regional Councillors:
Kate Maloney
My husband, Peter, three young sons and I live Northeast of Augathella.
We have an Angus composite breeding herd that are run on certified organic properties.
Frederick Bryant
Fred is a Beef and Lamb producer based in the Augathella/Charleville area.
Anna Appleton
Anna is Executive Director of Appleton Cattle Company and lives at Glengyle Station, located between Bedourie and Birdsville in Queensland's channel country. Appleton Cattle Company operates a 40,000-head organic breeding herd across central, northern, and western Queensland, with livestock raised exclusively on company-owned properties until processing. The company’s grass-fed production system is certified by ACOS, USDA NOP, and Korean standards, ensuring premium quality.
With expertise spanning governance, finance, human resources, risk management, and certification, Anna brings valuable insight into regional challenges and opportunities for Queensland producers.
She is deeply committed to the resilience of remote communities and contributes to them through volunteer roles, including with the ICPA Qld State Council and other local organizations.
Her dedication supports both the individuals and industries that sustain Queensland’s remote regions.
Jacqui Tickell
My husband, Cameron, and I run a beef breeding business on properties in the Mulgalands, west of Charleville, and background feeder cattle on our property in Augathella. We have recently expanded into breeding dorpers on an exclusion-fenced mulga property and also operate an earthmoving business focused on local property development.
For the past 6–7 years, I have been actively involved with AgForce, serving on the Vegetation Management Committee and as a Southwest Regional Councillor. Through AgForce, I've gained invaluable insights into the industry and formed strong connections.
I encourage anyone interested in learning more about agriculture to join local AgForce meetings and events—it's a great way to share knowledge, stay informed, and engage with other producers and representatives in your area.
