SW District TMR Update
The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) will be commencing reseal works on various roads from 12 November 2024 to late December 2024, weather and conditions permitting.
Reseals are part of our ongoing maintenance program for the South West District and are an important part of our overall maintenance program. Resealing our roads preserves the surface and improves the reliability of the road network.
Various sections of the below roads are scheduled for resealing:
- Landsborough Highway (Morven - Augathella)
- Landsborough Highway (Augathella - Tambo)
- Quilpie - Thargomindah Road
- Blackall - Adavale Road
- Mitchell Highway (Barrigun - Cunnamulla)
- Mitchell Highway (Charleville - Augathella)
- Diamantina Developmental Road (Charleville – Quilpie)
- Diamantina Developmental Road (Quilpie - Windorah)
- Bulloo Developmental Road (Thargomindah - Bundeena)
We will try to minimise traffic delays as much as possible by using traffic control, speed restrictions and single lane closures. Motorists should slow down, drive carefully and follow the instructions of traffic controllers and construction signage and allow up to an additional 15 minutes for their journey.

$200 for a cuppa & chat
This may be of interest to some producers.
Phillips Group is researching farmers’ experiences planning for drought, including farm business resilience plans. The research involves talking with primary producers to understand their views on and experiences with drought planning, as part of farm management planning and as a general process. They want to hear from primary producers who have and have not created farm management plans.
They are seeking 70 primary producers from across Queensland to participate in a 90-minute interview at a location convenient for the participants. If you’re one of the 70 people chosen to participate in the interviews, you will receive $200 for your time and efforts.
